- Meet the Team- A small, close-knit team dedicated to helping you solve complex problems.
- Director and Co-Founder - Charles, Director and Co-Founder of Pointer, had a desire to create a consultancy that also gave back to the community. His approach to consultancy is to go in with an open mind, provide pragmatic and justified options, exceeding expectations in the process. - Academically, he studied MEng AeroNautical Engineering with a Study in Contential Europe at Bristol University. Professionally, he is also a Charted Project Professional. - His career started in the Ministry of Defence. Four years later he joined a large engineering consultancy as a systems engineer, where he met Richard. Here he moved into complex programme and bid management, with an impressive 100% win rate across these bids. At Pointer, Charles specialises in large-scale project and programme, and bid management.
- Director and Co-Founder - Richard is one of our Directors, and Co-Founder of Pointer alongside Charles. He shares the ambition to do consultancy differently, solving problems whilst still giving back to the community. - Richard's academic background is in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol and has two Masters degrees, an MBA and MSc in Human Factors and Safety in Aeronautics, both from Cranfield University. - Richard started his career in the Royal Air Force as an Engineer Officer, and lead bomb disposal teams to working in large consultancies. He also has several volunteering positions such as offering strategy and business planning through Cranfield Trust. - At Pointer, Richard's specialism is management of large-scale programmes, with a focus on people-centred management.
